Since I learn so much by interacting with the things around me, make sure I have objects that I can play with that will keep me interested and challenge me. My toys don’t have to be fancy or expensive – even things like empty cereal boxes, blocks, and other items I can bang, rip, and throw will teach me about what different objects are and what my small hands can do with them. You might see me do the same thing with an object over and over again, like dropping a toy off my chair or pushing something into the wall. Don’t worry! I’m just testing things out (and sometimes seeing how you’ll react) when I do things with my body.
