Child

I’m making so much noise! The noises I’m making are the first steps to me learning how to talk, and when you let me know that you hear me, it encourages me to keep making them and to keep trying out new sounds. When I babble something, babble the sound back to me. This tells me that when I make a sound, it means something to other people and that I should make more of it. It’s even better if you can hold me close so I can see your face while we babble to each other.
