Sometimes I won’t feel very happy. Maybe I’m sad, hungry, tired, or frustrated about something. You can help me learn how to start managing my feelings by giving me comfort when I feel upset. Talk to me in a soothing voice, sing to me, or hold me close while I work on calming myself down. Give me words for what you think I am feeling. Make sure to take of yourself too! It’s harder for me to soothe myself when I feel like I am making you upset.
