Child

I may not be able to help vacuum, do dishes, or other chores that require a lot of strength and coordination. But, I can help with small things like sorting laundry, putting away my toys, and wiping off the table if I have your help and supervision. Even though I may not do things the right way every time, by giving me chores, you are teaching me that I have responsibilities, too, and that I’m able to help when I’m asked. This will also help teach me early that every person in our home is required to help out – not just the grown-ups. I like helping you, especially when we do it together.
