Make a great keepsake, and help me to remember my parent who is getting ready to deploy! You can use either white Crayola Model Magic Clay™ or other moldable materials such as plaster of Paris, available at most craft stores. Follow the package directions, and then roll it out flat. You can use a disposable pie tin if the material is gooey. Once it is flat, have my deploying parent press a hand flat into the surface to make an imprint. Then carefully take my hand, and help me to press it into my parent’s hand. Make a hole through the top so that after it dries you can put a ribbon or string through it to hang it up. Let it dry completely. Remind me whenever I look at it that my deploying parent always thinks of me, even when we can’t be together.
