I may be saying, “What’s going on here?” You can support me, especially when you first leave military service and so much is changing, by telling me what is happening in clear and simple words. “Mommy is coming home and this time she is staying home. She is a Veteran; that means she used to be in the military, and now she isn’t anymore.” Give me a way to participate. Invite me to draw a picture celebrating our Veteran’s service, or bake my Veteran parent her favorite cookie.
