Toddlers learn a lot by watching and playing with other children. If you invite one of my friends over to play, take me to the park to play, or join a play group in our community I will have lots of fun! I will learn to share, take turns, and resolve conflicts. When I was only 18 months old, I watched other children play, and played next to my friends. As I get closer to 3 years old, I will want to learn to play with my friends, having fun making up stories, creating rules for games, and learning to problem solve. I may get frustrated when I want things my way. You can help me learn to cope with my emotions as I begin to learn self-control. I am learning social skills that are important for my development!
