I know that my behaviors can be challenging sometimes; it’s hard for me to feel out of control, as well. Here are some ideas to help me AND you while I learn to calm my mind and body: Please try to remember that I’m very young and I won’t begin to manage my big feelings on my own until I’m age 3.5 to 4 years. For now, you can help me to stay calm by sharing your skills to calm yourself and mine, so that I can grow my calming skills over time. Early childhood experts call that ‘co-regulation’ and it’s a superpower for you and a gift that may contribute to my positive social emotional development and wellness.
