MFP-AESC_Just-BreatheIt is amazing what breathing can do for you when you are feeling tense, worried, flustered, or stressed. Take the time to do two cleansing breaths. To do this, relax your body as much as you are able. Concentrate on your breathing, pushing all other thoughts out of your mind. Inhale through your nose, filling your lungs with air. Feel your chest expand out. Do this slowly. When your lungs can’t hold any more air, slowly exhale through your mouth. Feel the air leave you lungs and your chest get smaller. Exhale until there is no air left in your lungs. Repeat this again. Now, for a minute or two, just breathe normally, focusing on your breath, on how your chest fills with air and pushes the air out. You can do this exercise anywhere, at any time. You can do it and no one will really notice that you are doing it! It will fill your brain with needed oxygen, slow you down, and help you focus. Remember, just breathe!
