Even though I might not pay close attention or might be more interested on touching or putting a book in my mouth, it’s never too early to start reading to me. Hold me close while you read me short stories and let me feel the book while you read. It’s ok if you don’t read all the words, or if you read out of order. You can also point to pictures and tell me what they are or point and tell me the colors I am seeing. I love hearing the sound of your voice, and this will help us build a routine of reading together that will make me learn and grow throughout my childhood.
