When I start having better control of the muscles in my neck and shoulders, it’ll be time for me to start learning how to sit up. This will help a lot when I start eating table foods or want to do things that require me to sit for longer than a few seconds. You can help me practice sitting by holding me in your lap and supporting my back and neck while I get used to what sitting up feels like. When my strength and balance improve, you’ll be able to give me less and less support, until I’m ready to sit up all by myself!
